The purpose of the annual New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards is to uncover and honor the best in Arizona and New Mexico books. Entries are judged by booksellers, librarians, teachers, and book marketing experts. This year, Barnyard Fable was a finalist in the Pets/Animals Division, while The Ticket was a finalist in the Fiction-Other Division.
Barnyard Fable is a collection of humorous interwoven stories about the adventures of a collection of barnyard creatures. Lowell says that “If you’ve ever wondered about the love life of a chicken or the military exploits of a duck, this is the book that will answer your questions!”
Loretta’s novel The Ticket is set in Los Lunas, New Mexico. It’s about a husband and wife who think all their problems would be solved if they’d just win the lottery. When they actually do hit the jackpot they find out that it’s not going to be quite that simple.
This is the first year we’ve submitted entries to New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards, so we’re very pleased to have our books listed as finalists. Both books are available at on-line retail bookstores or directly from us at LLTPress.EagleNest@gmail.com.
